Nutcracker Auditions 2026

We invite you to join us for our 2nd annual Nutcracker production!

We are looking for both dancers AND actors to bring our Nutcracker production to life!

Auditions will be held on Sunday, June 14th at Dance Dimensions, 5174 Plainfield Ave NE, STE C, Grand Rapids MI.

Ages 8-12 will audition from 2 - 2:45 pm: dancers with 1 to 4 years of ballet/dance experience. Roles to be considered for: party children, Fritz, mice, and angels.

Ages 12 and up will audition from 3 - 4 pm: Intermediate and Advanced dancers with point experience; dancers with non-ballet experience; male/female actors with no dance experience. Roles to be considered for: party parents, Clara, Fritz, Dolls, Flowers, Snow, Spanish, Chinese, Arabian, Russian, Marzipan, Flower soloists

There is NO audition fee & dancers from all studios are welcome!

If you are selected for a role, you will be required to participate in rehearsals. Once selected you will receive your workshop and rehearsal schedule.

• There will be a workshop in August - typically 3-4 evenings during one week in the month. Exact dates/times TBD.

• Then there will rehearsals on weekends from September up to the performance (no rehearsal weekend of Thanksgiving). Not all roles will be required at every rehearsal.

• Date for tech/dress rehearsals and 2 shows (in one day) are TBD but expected to be late November/early December

• Note - schedule is subject to change depending on studio needs and performance venue availability.

There is a participation fee of $100-200 per person, based on the role you are selected for. This covers the teaching you will receive during workshop/rehearsals and costume rental.
