Nutcracker Auditions 2025

We are extremely excited to be launching a production of the Nutcracker this coming holiday season, and we need your help!

We are looking for dancers, ages 9 to 15, to play the roles of soldiers, party children, and mice. Dancers should be under 5’ 4” tall, have a minimum of 1 year dance experience (pointe not required), and will need to be available for six Saturday rehearsals (not consecutive) from September through December, exact times TBD.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 16th - specific time TBD once we know how many individuals we have to audition.

If you are selected for a role, you will be required to participate in rehearsals. Once selected you will receive your workshop and rehearsal schedule.

  • There will be a workshop the week August 18th to 21st from 5:30 to 7:30 pm each night. Not all roles will be required every night.

  • Then there will rehearsals on Saturdays from September up to the performance (no rehearsal weekend of Thanksgiving). Again not all roles will be required every Saturday.

  • Dress Rehearals will be at Sparta High School on December 11th and 12th from 4-8pm. Required for ALL cast members.

  • We will have TWO shows on Saturday, December 13th. All cast members need to be available from 9am to 6pm on this day - exact timing TBD.

  • Note - schedule is subject to change depending on studio needs and performance venue availability.

There is a participation fee of $100-200 per person, based on the role you are selected for. This covers the teaching you will receive during workshop/rehearsals and costume rental.
